Our 8-Step Upholstery Cleaning Process

Every piece of furniture is inspected and cleaned according to its fabric, condition, stains, and level of use — designed to remove embedded soil, rinse out cleaning products, and leave the fabric properly neutralized.

Step By Step

What Happens During Your Appointment

The exact products and techniques may vary depending on the fabric, but the same quality-focused structure is followed throughout every appointment.

01

Fabric and Condition Inspection

The fabric, construction, stains, odors, wear, and overall condition are reviewed before any products are applied — this determines the safest cleaning method.

02

Pre-Vacuuming

Loose dirt, dust, crumbs, pet hair, and other dry debris are removed before wet cleaning begins, so it doesn't mix with moisture.

03

Pre-Spray Application

A fabric-appropriate pre-spray loosens embedded soil, body oils, and everyday buildup within the fibers.

04

Full-Fabric Agitation

The pre-spray is carefully worked through the fabric with a material-appropriate brush for even product contact.

05

Spot and Stain Treatment

Individual spots — pet accidents, food, drinks, body oils — are treated with products selected for that specific stain type.

06

Deep Rinsing and Extraction

Professional extraction equipment removes dissolved soil, moisture, and cleaning products, with multiple passes when needed.

07

Cleaning Residue Neutralization

A fabric-safe neutralizing rinse removes remaining alkaline shampoo residue, reducing sticky residue that attracts new dirt.

08

Live pH Test

The fabric is tested on-site with a pH strip to confirm it's been properly rinsed and neutralized — you see the result before we finish.

After The Cleaning

What to Expect While the Fabric Dries

Drying time depends on the fabric, room temperature, humidity, airflow, and how much treatment was required. Furniture should remain unused until it is completely dry.

Typical Drying Time

Most upholstery dries in about 5 to 6 hours. Heavily treated areas may require additional time.

Improve Airflow

Keep the room ventilated and avoid covering damp furniture with blankets, sheets, or protective covers.

Wait Before Use

Do not sit on the furniture or return loose cushions until the fabric is fully dry.

Optional Add-On

Need to Use Your Furniture Sooner?

Professional express drying is available as an optional service. Two high-output air movers can be positioned around the cleaned furniture to significantly speed up drying — especially useful for evening appointments, homes with kids or pets, businesses, or whenever you need the furniture back sooner.

Please mention express drying when booking so enough time and equipment can be reserved. It may also be requested during the appointment when availability allows.
